Winter in Normandy
Cold outside, a hot tub facing the valley, the stove crackling in the lounge: the house is made for winter weekends, 1h10 from Paris.
Cosy season
The 6-seat hot tub runs all year, outdoors, facing the valley. In winter it is the best moment of the day: a walk through the frosty countryside in the afternoon, then a hot soak at nightfall, under the stars or under the snow when it falls.
Inside, the pellet stove warms the lounge and its velvet corner sofa. The table for 10 hosts long dinners, the bookcase and board games fill the evenings, and the piano is waiting for musicians.
Outside, the Lyons forest, one of Europe's finest beech forests, is lovely to walk in any season, and Lyons-la-Forêt and Gerberoy keep their charm in winter. To warm up, the Sutter brewery in Gisors offers tours on Saturday mornings.
