Normandy · between Paris and the coast
Combine Paris, Giverny and the Normandy landing beaches in one stay. Our house in the Normandy Vexin sleeps up to 10, with a heated pool, a hot tub all year round and a large garden facing the valley.
Planning your visit
The house is in Mainneville, in the Normandy Vexin, 1h10 from Paris. The D-Day beaches are around 2h30 by car: an unforgettable full day out, much loved by our British, Dutch and American guests. Start with the Caen Memorial (about 2 hours away), the major Second World War museum, then continue to Arromanches and its Mulberry harbour, Omaha Beach, the American Cemetery at Colleville and Pointe du Hoc.
On other days, the Normandy coast is closer than you think: Dieppe beach in about 1h20, Honfleur and the Côte Fleurie in 1h30, the cliffs of Étretat in 1h45. Closer still, Giverny and Monet's gardens are 25 km away and Rouen 45 minutes.
Coming from the UK? The Newhaven–Dieppe ferry lands about 1h20 from the house. After a long day on the road, the hot tub facing the valley and the heated pool (mid-April or early May to 1 October) are the perfect way to unwind. Bed linen and towels are provided and the kitchen is fully equipped.
